Laser Cleaning Services is owned and operated by Paul O’Sullivan, a hands-on specialist with a strong technical background and a practical, problem-solving approach to surface restoration and preparation.
Paul founded Laser Cleaning Services after seeing firsthand the limitations of traditional methods like sandblasting, chemical stripping, and aggressive mechanical abrasion. Too often, these methods caused unnecessary surface damage, created hazardous waste, or delivered inconsistent results. Laser cleaning offered a smarter alternative, but only when used correctly.
What sets Paul apart is his focus on precision over speed. He works closely with clients to understand the base material, contamination type, and final outcome required before any laser settings are applied. This attention to detail is especially important for thin metals, moulds, heritage materials, automotive panels, and sensitive industrial components.
Paul personally oversees jobs to ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Clients value his clear communication, honest advice, and willingness to explain what laser cleaning can and cannot do for a given surface.

About Our Company & Philosophy
Laser Cleaning Services provides mobile laser cleaning services in Wellington and across the wider Wellington Region. We remove rust, paint, coatings, carbon, grease, and surface contamination with a controlled, non-contact laser process. We focus on clean results without grinding marks, blasting media, or harsh chemicals.
Founded by Paul O’Sullivan, the business started with one clear goal: give New Zealand a safer, cleaner option for surface restoration and preparation. Many “one setting” laser systems behave like a blunt tool. Our approach targets precision first, because substrate protection matters.
